Molex Buys Luxtera’s Active Optical Cable Biz

LISLE, Ill. & CARLSBAD, Calif., Jan. 27, 2011 — High-speed interconnect provider Molex Inc. announced that it has completed the acquisition of Luxtera’s Active Optical Cable (AOC) business, including its Blazar and other derivative optical transceiver products. Silicon CMOS photonics provider, Luxtera will transfer all aspects of its existing and future ACO business to Molex, including current QSFP+ 40 Gb/s Ethernet and InfiniBand products and customers.
