LPKF Expands in Garbsen
HANNOVER, Germany, March 30, 2011 — In response to demand for its laser technology, LPKF Laser & Electronics AG is expanding its Garbsen facility, where it has also hired more than 100 new employees over the past two years.

While planning an expansion on its own property, LPKF received an offer to purchase the building next door. LPKF accepted the offer and bought the property in January for about €5 million. The new office, which will provide the company with an additional 32,000 sq ft of space, will be renovated and connected to the existing complex.
The move to the new building, where the R&D departments will be consolidated, is expected to take place in June. The vacated space will be used to manufacture laser systems.
LPKF develops systems and process solutions for printed circuit board technology and microelectronics.
