Cree Sets LED Efficacy Records — Again

DURHAM, N.C., May 17, 2011 — LED lighting company Cree Inc. reported another industry-best efficacy record of 231 lumens per watt for a white power LED, outdoing its previous industry record of 208 lumens (See: Cree Passes LED Per Watt Milestone). Cree reported that the LED efficacy was measured at 231 lumens per watt using a single-die component at a correlated color temperature of 4500 K.
