Optimax Hires Metrology Expert

ONTARIO, N.Y., June 3, 2011 — To increase its metrology capabilities, Optimax Systems Inc. has hired Dr. Kate Medicus. With a PhD from the Center for Precision Metrology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Medicus will use her expertise to help the company achieve highly accurate and reliable interferometric measurement results, it said. Optimax provides rapid prototyping of precision optical components in sizes up to 300 mm. It manufactures asphere, cylinder, sphere and plano/flat optics.
