Biotech Expert to Head Corning Life Sciences
CORNING, N.Y., June 14, 2011 — Dr. Richard Eglen was announced as the vice president and general manager of Corning Life Sciences, the business segment of specialty glass and ceramics provider Corning Inc.
With more than 33 years of executive and technical leadership in the life sciences industry, Eglen will be responsible for all aspects of the division. He follows Mark Beck, who recently transitioned from his role as senior vice president of Corning Life Sciences to leader of the Corning Environmental Technologies business segment.
The Life Sciences segment manufactures and supplies scientific laboratory products and develops drug discovery innovations.
