BARRINGTON, N.J., Oct. 19, 2011 — Edmund Optics’ TechSpec broadband antireflection (BBAR)-coated right-angle prisms are suitable for use with low-power laser sources for a wide variety of applications.

Exhibiting a ray deviation of 90°, they feature tight tolerances and a precision N-BK7 substrate. When compared with uncoated or metalized right-angle prisms, the prisms with BBAR coating greatly improve transmission efficiency. Multiple BBAR coatings are available to provide a diverse range of customer solutions. They are most often used to bend image paths or to redirect light at a 90° angle. They also can be used in combination for image/beam displacement applications.
Broadband coatings enable use of the prisms in applications that employ multiple low-power laser sources.
They are available in numerous sizes and multiple BBAR coatings to meet customer needs. Sizes range from 5 to 50 mm, with coatings designed for 425 to 675 nm, 400 to 870 nm and 600 to 1050 nm.
The prisms are in stock and ready for immediate delivery.
