Emcore Still Assessing Damage from Thailand Flood

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Oct. 25, 2011 — Emcore Corp. announced on Oct. 24 that flood waters had penetrated the offices and manufacturing floor space of its primary contract manufacturer in Thailand. The water flowed into areas used to manufacture fiber optic products, and some of the manufacturing and test equipment was submerged. Seasonal rains that were heavier than usual have resulted in widespread flooding in Thailand over the past several weeks.
