SAN DIEGO, Jan. 24, 2012 — Daylight Solutions announced its entrance into a strategic business relationship with infrared fiber company IRphotonics of Hamden, Conn., to advance indium fluoride (InF) fiber technology.
The partnership will leverage Daylight’s transitioning critical technologies into new products, it said. The company has begun to incorporate fiber optic delivery into its product capabilities, further enabling new applications in the mid-infrared.
In addition to advancing InF fiber technology, Daylight will distribute IRphotonics’ infrared product line.
IRphotonics’ InF fiber technology now offers low loss, high mechanical quality and broad coverage throughout the mid-IR spectrum. The company also has ruggedized its infrared fiber cables to meet the harsh environmental requirements of military aerospace platforms.
Daylight Solutions manufactures molecular detection and imaging systems for scientific research, medical diagnostics, environmental monitoring, industrial process controls and defense applications.
