Fabrinet to Make OneChip’s PIC-based PON Transceivers

OTTAWA, Ontario, Canada, March 7, 2012 — OneChip Photonics has selected Fabrinet as the contract manufacturer for its photonic integrated circuit (PIC)-based passive optical network (PON) transceivers. Under the agreement, Fabrinet will provide a range of manufacturing services for OneChip, including optical component attachments for the company’s bidirectional optical subassemblies, and final integration and testing of its fully packaged optical transceivers.
