Corning Names New CTO

CORNING, N.Y., March 23, 2012 — Corning Inc.’s board of directors will elect Dr. David L. Morse as the company’s executive vice president and chief technology officer at a meeting April 26. Morse will become a member of its management committee when his appointment takes effect May 1. Morse will succeed Dr. Joseph A. Miller Jr., who will retire on April 30. Miller served 11 years as Corning’s executive VP and CTO.
