STADTRODA, Germany, June 4, 2012 — The Bigeye G-283B actively cooled, low-noise CCD manufactured by Allied Vision Technologies GmbH delivers high-quality 14-bit images with long exposure times in low-light conditions.
The digital camera features a new sensor and a new GigE Vision-compliant interface and is equipped with a Sony ICX674 monochrome CCD sensor chip with 2.8-megapixel resolution, good quantum efficiency and a high dynamic range. It operates at up to 6 fps at full resolution in 14-bit mode.
It features Peltier cooling down to −10 °C and achieves a good signal-to-noise ratio, even with long exposure times. It is suitable for industrial and scientific imaging applications, fluorescence microscopy, low-light imaging and nondestructive evaluation of photosensitive objects.
The Gigabit Ethernet interface module’s 20-pin serial modular receiver decoder interface provides four inputs and four outputs, and two RS-232 connectors are available.
The new module supports the company’s multiplatform PvAPI software development kits, enabling easier and more efficient control of camera functions. It can be easily integrated into machine vision systems, and the full GigE Vision compliance makes it possible to operate the camera with a variety of third-party image processing libraries.
Following the introduction of the Bigeye G-283B, all other camera models in the series will be enhanced with the new AVT GigE Vision interface module.
