TAMPA, Fla., June 11, 2012 — StellarNet Inc. has released a series of updated spectrometers configured for Raman spectroscopy that perform quick identification of a variety of liquid, solid and powder samples.

They include enhanced CCD array detectors for 785-nm Raman (other wavelengths available upon request) or cooled 1024-element InGaAs photodiode arrays for 1064-nm Raman where interference from sample fluorescence is virtually nonexistent.
The fiber optically coupled spectrometer series is rugged and compact for portable and field applications. USB 2.0 connection to a PC for power and data is quick and easy.
The StellarNet Raman-SR and Raman-HR spectrometers are standard high-resolution models that produce 8-cm
−1 and 4-cm
−1 resolution, respectively, using CCD detector arrays. For 1064-nm Raman, an InGaAs detector is installed in the Raman-HR-TEC to cool the device.
The instrements have no moving parts and are permanently aligned for shockproof durability. SMA-905 optical input to the spectrometers allows attachment of Raman probes or fiber optic sample accessories.
