TAMPA, Fla., June 28, 2012 — StellarNet is offering lasers and accessories for Raman spectroscopy that can be used to perform quick identification of a variety of liquid, solid and powder samples.

The Ramulaser is a 785-nm miniature and rugged laser for laboratory and portable Raman applications. The Raman laser line is 0.2-nm FWHM and has 350-/499-mW adjustable power. It measures 2 × 4 × 6 in. and is supplied in a robust metal case with lithium-ion all-day battery power. The Ramulaser includes options for a direct-attach integrating sphere collection assembly for vials, or it can attach to a Raman probe via a standard FC/APC connector.

The company is also offering the turnkey Lab-LS-785 Raman laser mainframe for laboratory Raman with adjustable laser power and thermoelectrically cooled control electronics. It has interchangeable modules for Raman wavelengths such as 532, 647, 830 and 1064 nm.

Another item being released is the mini Raman laser probe, which couples a mini 785-nm laser with integrated optics for Raman signal collection. The laser provides 100-mW output power and 0.2-nm FWHM.

Another offering is a Raman probe that will connect via FC/APC and return to the Raman spectrometer via standard SMA. The rigid probe length is 100 mm with integrated Raman filters for 200 cm−1 and f/2 collection optics. The probe’s excitation fiber measures 100 μm in diameter, and read fiber to the spectrometer has a 600-μm core diameter for optimized signal collection. The RPH4 Raman probe holder accessory can be used to mount the probe for measuring ½-in. vials or can be flipped over to measure solid samples such as pills and powders.
