LITTLETON, Mass., July 23, 2012 — TracePro 7.2 is the latest release of
Lambda Research Corp.’s illumination and optical analysis software.
It includes a fully interactive 3-D optimizer designed to increase
productivity by giving the user complete control of the optimization process. It features a sketch utility to quickly create any 3-D symmetric or asymmetric CAD geometry, interactive ray tracing for design verification, and digitization of target functions.
TracePro 7.2 also features a new deformable membrane device (DMD) RepTile geometry to simulate DMD chips to design projection TVs and digital cinema projectors. Each mirror segment can be oriented individually to simulate scenes.
This release also features new material property catalogs from vendors including Kopp, Umicore and Vitron, and added exotic materials in the company’s crystals, metals, liquids and plastic catalogs.
