Biolase Opens Training Center

IRVINE, Calif., July 26, 2012 — Dental laser manufacturer Biolase Inc. has announced the opening of a technology and training center for dental customers at its Irvine headquarters.

The state-of-the-art facility features a hands-on lab equipped with the company’s patented Waterlase dental laser technology, its proprietary EPIC line of diode lasers and fully functional 3-D digital imaging, including NewTom Cone Beam 3-D imaging and Biolase DaVinci imaging products.

The training center will provide introductory and specialized training sessions for dental professionals seeking proficiency and certification training using Biolase products. It will also be used to train and educate the company’s sales team.

The training courses, under the direction of experienced clinicians, will employ a combination of lecture and hands-on instruction with extracted teeth and proxy dental models. Courses will include Waterlase and diode laser certification training, refresher classes, and master specialty courses in endodontics, periodontics and pediatric dentistry. Various 3-D imaging classes are under development.
