Materion Opens Albuquerque Facility

BUFFALO, N.Y., Sept. 24, 2012 — To better serve its thin-film deposition customers, Materion Microelectronics & Services has opened a new facility in Mesa del Sol, N.M.

The new Southwest facility provides precision parts cleaning and surface treatment of physical vapor deposition shield kits for the semiconductor, optics, photovoltaics, LED, medical consumables, wireless, data storage and hard disk drive industries. It complements Materion’s recently expanded Wheatfield, N.Y., site.

“Having a regional facility means faster turnaround and a regional precious-metal refining solution to enhance the metal management model,” said Jim McMullen, product manager of Materion’s Precision Parts Cleaning Service.

Materion Microelectronics & Services is a unit of Mayfield Heights, Ohio-based Materion Corp.
