COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Sept. 28, 2012 — In response to customer demand for higher resolution in differential position sensing applications, Kaman Precision Products has released the DIT-5200L low-noise differential impedance transducer.

The low-noise version of the company’s DIT-5200 offers true differential for common mode rejection, subnanometer resolution and sensitivity up to 39 mV/µm in both single- and dual-channel configurations. The DIT-5200L measuring system features rugged construction and a mean time between failures of better than 210,000 h.
The commercial off-the-shelf system provides good repeatability and nulling accuracy for detecting the position of optics in tip-tilt applications such as fast steering mirrors, and in precision stage position feedback in semiconductor and atomic force microscopy applications.
