BARRINGTON, N.J., Oct. 10, 2012 — Edmund Optics has introduced four Olympus objectives for bio-imaging and microscopy applications. They are featured in the newly launched online life sciences section of the company’s website.
The online life sciences pages help customers select the right optical components for their applications. Categories include bio-imaging and microscopy, diagnostics and genomics, spectroscopy, ophthalmology and medical lasers.
Olympus Plan achromatic objectives provide precise field flatness in bright-field, dark-field and fluorescence microscopy. Available in 4×, 10×, 20×, 40× and 100× models, they are designed for clinical laboratory and examination applications.
Olympus Plan fluorite objectives use advanced multicoatings to provide flat field images from the UV to the NIR. They feature high signal-to-noise ratios, high resolution and high contrast imaging. Available with high-numerical-aperture and oil-immersion options, they are suited for bright-field, dark-field, differential interference contrast, fluorescence and polarization microscopy.
Olympus long- and superlong-working distance M-Plan fluorite objectives increase specimen safety while providing increased contrast for observation. They feature >90% transmission from 400 to 700 nm and standard pupil positions, allowing multiple prisms or polarizers to be used.
