WALTHAM, Mass., Oct. 31, 2012 — Excelitas Technologies has announced the LynX silicon photomultiplier module (SiPM).
It offers high sensitivity from the near-UV to the NIR wavelengths and is suited for demanding life sciences and analytical measurement OEM applications.
The LynX-A-33-050-T1-A is a compact analog module based on the proprietary C30742 series low-noise, ultrafast-timing-resolution, low-crosstalk SiPM chips. It offers an alternative to traditional photomultiplier tubes for applications including fluorescence measurement and flow cytometry.
The silicon photomultiplier module comprises a single-stage thermoelectrically cooled detector head, a DC-DC power supply and a low-noise transimpedance amplifier. It has a 3 × 3-mm2
active-area SiPM with 50 × 50-µm2
microcells for optimum dynamic range and photon detection efficiency.
