TIGARD, Ore., Oct. 31, 2012 — Orled has debuted a line of high-intensity
ringlights, models RL16Q and RL28Q with quadrant driver. Designed to be
mounted on microscopes and other optical systems, they are suitable for use in forensics, dental laboratories, and medical and industrial manufacturing. The ringlights, with external control via serial interface, are for observing circuit boards, and electronic and highly reflective specimens.

The light from high-output LEDs in four quadrants each with eight-step variable intensity from 0 to 100% is refracted through an optical system to provide 85,000 lx at a working distance of 3 in.
The four quadrant zones can be individually turned on and off, allowing the user to eliminate shadow for smooth, even illumination or to create and control shadows to define surface details.
The ringlights comply with CE standards for European Community use.
