Jenoptik’s Lasers & Material Processing Div. has received a $13 million order from a US customer for medical lasers. Over the next three years, the optoelectronics group will supply the unnamed customer with lasers for medical applications, such as ophthalmology, dermatology, surgery and urology. The Jenoptik Group, based in Jena, Germany, is expanding its position in the medical laser market and is establishing itself as a medical laser provider in North America.
