SANTA ROSA, Calif., Dec. 17, 2012 — Cal Sensors is launching a CO
2 sensor for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) applications.
The CO
2 sensor applies the latest microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) emitter and lead selenide detector technologies to meet the demanding accuracy and reliability requirements of HVAC applications.
The easily controllable MEMS emitter stabilizes quickly, minimizing power consumption, and offers a peak optical output near the CO
2 absorption band. Combined with proprietary detectors, the system provides a high measurement dynamic range. The company can support prototyping to high-volume manufacturing requests.
