ROCHESTER, N.Y., Jan. 17, 2013 — Semrock Inc. has announced an 11-band filter with steep edges within a 100-nm-wide spectral window. The filter has high transmission and good blocking outside each of the 11 bands. The spectral complexity of the filter was designed to match the corresponding formaldehyde fluorescence emission spikes over the 380- to 480-nm-wavelength range. The filter can be used to investigate the homogeneous charge combustion ignition combustion process.

Also available is a five-band filter for multicolor fluorescence applications.

The optical filters are made with hard, sputtered optical coatings. OEM filters are manufactured in volume.
