Samsung OLED Panel Production Exceeds 300 Million

SEOUL, South Korea, Jan. 27, 2013 — Samsung Digital Co. Ltd. announced Wednesday that its cumulative production of organic LED (OLED) panels has exceeded 300 million since mass production began in January 2007. A commemorative ceremony was held to celebrate. The initial 100 million OLED panels took four and a half years to produce, Samsung Display said; the next 100 million units were produced in just 11 months, and the last 100 million units took only seven months to produce.
