WALTHAM, Mass., March 3, 2013 — Excelitas Technologies has unveiled the CurX ultraviolet LED module for the printing and curing industries. Its operating stability makes it well suited for applications such as digital ink, screen, flexo and offset printing, and for curing of coatings, adhesives, glues and varnishes.
The linear, scalable, high-end UV LED curing “flood” module is available in 365-, 385- and 395-nm UV output. It incorporates LED technology from Nichia, delivers high irradiance and features an ultracompact design for easy integration. Its water-cooling system provides a consistent operating temperature.
CurX comprises a ceramic substrate with multiple UV LED dies, a driver, and a controller for fast switching and easy dimming. It is fully customizable to meet specific needs of customers and requires no mechanical switches.
