NEWARK, Del., March 7, 2013 — B&W Tek Inc. has launched the i-Raman EX portable Raman spectrometer, an extension of its i-Raman portable spectrometer, with a 1064-nm excitation laser for biological substance and fluorescent samples measurement.
The i-Raman EX is equipped with a high-sensitivity InGaAs array detector with deep thermoelectric cooling and high dynamic range to deliver a high signal-to-noise ratio. The device provides spectral resolution as fine as 9.5 cm
–1 and spectral coverage from 175 to 2500 cm
–1, enabling measurement of the entire fingerprint region.
It comes with a fiber optic probe, a probe holder with X-Y-Z positioning stage, a cuvette adapter for measuring liquid samples and proprietary BWIQ multivariate analysis software.
