Quantum Materials Supplies Tetrapod Dots to DoE

CARSON CITY, Nev., March 29, 2013 — Quantum Materials Corp. (QMC) has developed and delivered customized tetrapod quantum dot samples for applications under development by Department of Energy National Lab researchers. QMC also will supply customized tetrapod quantum dots to a US government defense-related agency in support of a nanobiological project. The DoE National Labs, Energy Innovation Hubs and Technology Centers are developing quantum dot and other nanoscale applications in physics and the biological sciences, including solar photovoltaics, batteries and biofuels.     An SI prefix meaning one billionth (10-9). Nano can also be used to indicate the study of atoms, molecules and other structures and particles on the nanometer scale.
