nLight Corp. of Vancouver, Wash., has appointed Dahv Kliner as director of fiber laser product development. Kliner has more than 15 years of experience in high-power fiber lasers and has developed key enabling technologies for both pulsed and continuous-wave fiber sources. He most recently led JDSU’s commercial kilowatt fiber laser program. Before that, he headed Sandia National Laboratories’ fiber laser program and developed pulsed fiber lasers for a variety of applications. nLight supplies direct-diode, diode-pumped solid-state and fiber lasers for advanced materials processing, defense and medical applications.
