Elliot Scientific Adds Lasers from Vescent Photonics

HARPENDEN, England, June 3, 2013 — Elliot Scientific Ltd. is boosting cold atom science in the UK by offering laser products from Denver-based Vescent Photonics, the company announced Monday. Elliot Scientific said it will now offer Vescent's narrow-linewidth CW lasers, and electro-optic and optical accessory modules in the UK and Ireland. The company's lasers are used in research areas such as magneto-optical traps for laser cooling atoms, coherent atom sources, sensors for gravitometry and magnetometry, focused ion beams, ultrasensitive trace-isotope analysis, and quantum computing and cryptography.
