Wavien Tech Recycles Light in Projectors

VALENCIA, Calif., June 7, 2013 — A recycling light technology from Wavien Inc. that recovers unused high-angle light from LEDs could increase their brightness for small-target illumination in digital projection by as much as 180 percent. Traditional light collection optics platforms do not increase the brightness of LEDS and, as a result, are not efficient for projection. Wavien’s Recycling Light Technology (RLT), however, uses a collar to capture the wasted light in conventional optics designs and redirect it back into the output beam, improving LED brightness with full-color capability while conserving...Read full article
