Intevac Names Cho Executive VP

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 24, 2014 — Intevac Inc. has appointed Jay C. Cho as executive vice president and general manager of its thin-film equipment division.

Reporting directly to President and CEO Wendell Blonigan, Cho will lead the equipment division, which designs, develops and manufactures high-productivity process equipment solutions. Intevac also specializes in the development and manufacturing of high-sensitivity imaging products and vision systems.

Cho has more than 25 years of experience in high-technology sectors such as semiconductor and flat panel display capital equipment and rare-earth recycling. He was most recently CEO of REEnewal Corp., which he founded. He is former vice president and general manager of Orbotech's test and repair business units, and served as vice president of product development at Metara. Cho is also former vice president of Novellus' Surface Integrity Group.
