L-3 AOC Develops Enhanced Gold Coatings for Large-Format Substrates

DALLAS, Jan. 30, 2014 — L-3 Applied Optics Center (AOC), part of L-3 Communications Warrior Systems, has developed a line of gold optical coatings for large-format substrates, offering custom wavelength-specific performance. The thin-film gold optical coatings are suitable for deposition on lightweight optical elements for applications where weight and performance are critical design factors, such as terrestrial and airborne imaging systems.
