Resolve Supplies Lenses for NASA Testing

CHESHAM, England, June 27, 2014 — Resolve Optics has supplied non-browning zoom lenses to NASA for the study of future low-maintenance space-based optics. Space presents a challenging environment where camera lens servicing or replacement is highly undesirable, the company said. The company’s radiation-tolerant lenses are made from cerium oxide-doped glass and synthetic silica, allowing them to withstand radiation doses of up to 100 million rads and temperatures up to 55 °C without discoloration or degradation of performance.
