- Eyeing Superresolution Microscopy, Bruker Acquires Vutara
BILLERICA, Mass., July 28, 2014 — Bruker Corp. has acquired Vutara Inc. of Salt Lake City for an undisclosed amount.
The acquisition will integrate Vutara’s high-speed, 3-D superresolution imaging systems with Bruker’s line of multiphoton and multipoint scanning optical microscopy technologies designed for the scientific research community.
Superresolution microscopes can break the optical diffraction limit by an order of magnitude, opening research opportunities in single-molecule, cellular and neurobiological processes, Bruker said.
