Photronic Earnings Lower in Third Quarter

BROOKFIELD, Conn., Aug. 19, 2014 — Photomask firm Photronics Inc. reported earnings of $4.2 million in the third quarter of its fiscal year, which ended Aug. 3. The result represented a 28 percent decline from earnings of $5.9 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2013. Sales in the third quarter were $124.9 million, up 13.9 percent from $109.7 million during the same period last year. Sales of semiconductor photomasks were $100.6 million, or 81 percent of revenues, and sales of flat panel display photomasks were $24.3 million, or 19 percent of revenues.
