A high-speed video camera that captures color images at 4500 fps or 40,500 segmented frames per second is available from Photron USA. The Fastcam-Spectra/UV offers simultaneous video recording of up to three spectral wavelengths for combustion analysis. The system also can record three consecutive frames in an interval as short as 20 ns, or 50 million fps, with shuttering rates of 1/4500 to 1/40,500 s. The Fastcam-Spectra/UV can be used for temperature analysis of combustion and flames by using two filters with different spectral characteristics in two channels.
