Loyo Named Head of R&D for Jenoptik Laser
JENA, Germany, June 25, 2015 — 
Valentin Loyo was recently put in charge of the R&D department in the laser business unit of Jenoptik AG's lasers and material processing division.
He succeeds Martin Leitner, who left Jenoptik at the end of May.
Loyo joined Jenoptik at the end of 2014 as a group leader with responsibility for the development of diode lasers. Before that he was vice president of engineering and manufacturing at Intense Ltd. of North Brunswick, N.J., and held product development and test engineering positions at other companies in the U.S. and U.K.
Jenoptik produces diode and solid-state lasers and components for use in industry and medical technology.
