BERLIN, Sept. 17, 2015 — Citing growing demand for its high-power GaAs laser diodes, eagleyard Photonics GmbH aims to double the production capacity of its Berlin headquarters. A newly constructed laboratory will be used to transfer new technologies into full production. "By doubling the size of our production area, we are well-prepared to fulfill the needs of the huge demand for leading-edge technology within the laser industry," said CEO and Managing Director Jörg Muchametow. Eagleyard designs, develops and manufactures semiconductor laser diodes with wavelengths ranging from 630 to 1120 nm for medical, scientific and industrial applications. The company offers single- and multimode and single-frequency laser diodes, tapered amplifiers and gain chips.
