Perten Acquires Delta to Bolster Dairy IR Analysis Tech

STOCKHOLM, March 3, 2016 — Perten Instruments Group, a PerkinElmer company, has acquired Delta Instruments. Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed.

Delta’s rapid routine analytical instrumentation for the analysis of milk and milk derivatives include IR analyzers and somatic cell counters, which are used by dairy companies worldwide.

Perten provides versatile instruments for compositional and functional analysis. The instruments measure an array of dairy products and ingredients including stabilizers, cream, rennet, dairy powders, butter, cheese, whey products and more. The company’s product range includes NIR instruments for both at-line and on-line use, texture analyzers and rheology equipment.
