BARRINGTON, N.J., Oct. 19, 2016 — Edmund Optics Inc. has relocated its Tucson Design Center to better support the optics and imaging company’s growth and future expansion. The new facility covers 8,000 sq ft and nearly doubles the footprint of the previous space. The design center houses a custom optical and opto-mechanical research and development group, applications engineering, sales and customer support. The expanded office will continue to collaborate with University of Arizona's College of Optical Sciences and the Tucson optics cluster. "The expansion of Edmund Optics' Tucson Design Center is necessary to support the ongoing growth that our company is experiencing," says Kurt Abdelmaseh, engineering manager of Edmund Optics. "This much larger building allows us to further strengthen our design, development and support initiatives to best serve our global customer base." Edmund Optics is a supplier of optics, imaging and photonics technology for the life sciences, biomedical, semiconductor, R&D and defense markets.
