IPS Gets Orders From Philips Display Components

MARKHAM, Ontario, Canada, July 14 -- Image Processing Systems Inc. has received a series of orders worth more than $3.1 million from Philips Display Components. Image Processing Systems will ship its Automated Display Inspection systems (ADI) as well as upgrades for existing ADI systems to picture tube plants located at Philips' facilities in Mexico, the US, England and China.
These latest orders reinforce IPS's leadership position as an enabling technology supplier to the worldwide display industry, said Ken Wawrew, president and CEO of Image Processing Systems. The trend by leading display manufacturers such as Philips to utilize commercially available vision technology is expected to continue as they place more emphasis on core activities such as product innovation and new product development, and recognize the benefits of utilizing IPS's advanced, turnkey e-Vision solutions.
