HAIFA, Israel, Nov. 6 -- Elbit Systems Ltd. said that its subsidiary, El-Op Electro-OpticsIndustries, has received a two-year, $3 million contract as the result of the Danish army's upgrade to its Leopard 2/A5 tanks. El-Op will supply the Danish army with about 50 Thermal Imaging Module (TIM) systems. Once installed on the tank commander's sights, the TIMs will create the ability to see through harsh conditions during the day as well as at night. Elbit Systems is involved in a number of upgrades for defense programs worldwide.
