OMM Inc., supplier of MEMS-based photonic switching subsystems, announced the resignation of its president and CEO, Hus Tigli, effective immediately. Tigli resigns after having served as president and CEO since February of last year. Replacing Tigli will be 47-year-old Philip Chapman, who most recently served as the company's vice president of finance and administration, and chief financial officer.
Resonance Photonics Inc., a developer and manufacturer of advanced photonic components, recently appointed Serge Melle – vice president of Market Development for the Optical Internet Division of Nortel Networks – to its Technical Advisory board and board of directors. With the appointment of Melle to their board of directors, Resonance Photonics' management and investing partners feel that they have added a key industry visionary to their already technically solid board.
