Sunrise Technologies International Inc. announced that the Hyperion LTK System, a refractive laser, has been approved for sale in Canada. The company was granted a medical device licence by the Therapeutic Products Directorate Medical Devices Bureau in Ottawa, Ontario. TeraXion, an emerging supplier of value-added optical components based on Fiber Bragg Grating technology, announced the closing of a $15 million first round (Series A) private placement with a group of investors led by Wynnchurch Capital.
