    Lambda Physik AG has appointed Jurgen Heukaufer to be the fourth member of the Executive Board and Chief Operating Officer with effect from May 1 of this year. Due to the company's fast growth, Heukaufer's main responsibilities will lay in the production and logistics fields as well as in the industrial and scientific/medical sales divisions. Lambda Physik produces pulsed UV lasers such as excimer and diode-pumped solid-state lasers.
