Acquisition Agreement
In California, analog mixed-signal integrated
circuits manufacturer Microsemi Corp. of Irvine has entered into a definitive agreement
to acquire Mountain View-based Actel Corp. for $20.88 per share through a cash tender
offer. The total transaction value is approximately $430 million. The acquired company
supplies low-power, mixed-signal and radiation-tolerant field-programmable gate
arrays that serve the military, aerospace, industrial, communication and consumer
markets.
