Instrument Systems Acquires Display Metrology Line

Instrument Systems GmbH has expanded its display metrology portfolio with the purchase of all the development and production rights of Autronic-Melchers GmbH. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Autronic-Melchers of Karlsruhe has closed its operations. The company’s product portfolio includes the DMS series of display measurement systems, which are based on goniometric setups for analyzing the angle-dependent electro-optical properties of LCDs and organic LED displays in emission, reflection and transmission. Its ConoScopes line provides fast measurements at displays, and is complemented by control electronics and signal generators for displays, temperature chambers, light sources and software for automating measurements and data evaluation.

The new products are available immediately from Instrument Systems, a manufacturer of turnkey light-measurement solutions, and will be continuously upgraded in the future.
