Monica Monici, scientific director of the scientific research department at ASALaser (ASA SRL), has been elected president of the European Low Gravity Research Association (ELGRA).

"We congratulate Dr. Monici on this important recognition," said Lucio Zaghetto, president of ASAlaser. "We are extremely proud to have her as a part of our team. Her professional contribution in recent years has been instrumental in the development of studies and research devoted to laser applications."

Established in 1979, ELGRA is a nonprofit international scientific society devoted to the promotion of scientific research under various gravity conditions such as microgravity and hypergravity.

Monici is also executive editor of Energy for Health, ASALaser's semiannual scientific journal, and an adjunct professor at the University of Florence.
