Aixtron Converts to European Company
Deposition equipment provider Aixtron AG announced the completion of its conversion into a European company.
With its entry into the commercial register of the Aachen municipal court, Aixtron Aktiengesellschaft will operate and report as Aixtron SE. SE legal entities are public limited-liability companies under European law.
The conversion was approved by a large majority of shareholders at the Annual General Meeting in 2010. Negotiations with the employee representatives concerning future employee participation in Aixtron SE were conducted in a professional manner and were concluded within the statutory period of six months.
Its headquarters will remain in Herzogenrath in the Aachen region. In addition, its supervisory and executive board two-tier system will remain in effect. All current members of both boards will retain their original functions in the corresponding boards in the SE.
Further changes within the Aixtron Group in conjunction to the conversion are not planned.
