Trumpf Expands with Chicago Technology Center
Trumpf Inc. will expand its automation and R&D capabilities with a 50,000-square-foot technology center to be built outside Chicago.
The Trumpf Technology Center will focus on integrating automation, material and information flow with machine tools. One of the facility's goals is to achieve one-piece-flow sheet metal production capabilities.
The center will host international visitors for product and system demos, and to observe and participate in live sheet metal production with automated and flexible machine tools and processes.
Trumpf is a manufacturer of fabricating equipment and industrial lasers. Its products are used in sheet metal processing, laser-based production processes and electronics with applications including mobile devices, power technology, data storage components and commercial and residential appliances.
